Research Project
Railway Infrastructure Condition Assessment using RADAR sensors (Project RICARES)
The German-Czech cooperation project RICARES (Railway Infrastructure Condition Assessment using REmote and Geometry Sensor Net) aims to develop innovative and cost-effective monitoring systems for bridges and track structures that enable continuous, precise condition monitoring through the use of modern sensor technology and intelligent data processing. The goal is to extend the service life of existing structures, enhance the safety of rail traffic, and lay the groundwork for the digitalization of maintenance processes.
